Our mission is to champion the rights and interests of adults with intellectual disabilities, actively combating discrimination, neglect, and abuse. We strive to break down barriers to inclusion, ensuring that everyone in our community has the opportunity to thrive.

Citizen Advocacy
The Citizen Advocacy program connects volunteer advocates with people with intellectual disabilities, to establish long lasting relationships that provide advocacy support. Read more …
Individual Advocacy
Individual advocacy aims to prevent and address instances of unfair treatment or abuse, and helps make sure the voice of the person with disability is heard. This service is applicable when there is an immediate or short-term need for advocacy support. Read more …
Systemic Advocacy

3 flags for Indigenous Australians. Torres Strait islanders, and the Rainbow flag
We acknowledge that our work takes place on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. We wish to extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
There are three ways that you can support us under Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme:
  1. Through the CDS App: If you’re using the CDS app, simply select “Donation Partner” under Method of Payment to donate directly to North East Citizen Advocacy Inc. We are listed under the Disability Services category.
  2. Using the NECA Deposit Partner (DP) barcode: Scan the barcode (see link on the home page) when depositing your containers. Feel free to share the barcode with others. Print barcode or save a file or a screen shot to your phone.
  3. Over-the-counter/Depots: Provide our NECA DP barcode to over the counter/Depots.
